Fun Weekend!

We've had lots going on over the past few days. We went to Atlanta on Saturday to pick up Chris' son for the summer. We stayed in Atlanta for 2 days so we could go to Six Flags and Whitewater. Saturday evening after we got a hotel we decided to check out the local mall, which just happened to have a Louis Vuitton store in it. I got to check out the purse I wanted. I also decided that the bigger size is for me. So when that time comes Chris knows which one to get ;) There were lots of cool stores in the mall. I found a new "I want" in one but I'll save that for tomorrow. After the mall we went to Cafe Sunflower. It's an all Vegetarian restaurant and it's amazing!!

Sunday we went to Whitewater and had a blast. There was lots of sliding and splashing! We all had a great time!!! After all that swimming we hit the local Japanese steakhouse. It's the one we go to every year. It's called Orient Express, I think. We went back to the room, watched the new True Blood, and passed out.

The next morning we hit Six Flags. It was a Monday and there weren't a whole lot people in the park. We rode several of the coasters twice in row. That was a blast of course. After lots of thrills and hills we headed home. We got back last night and just vegged out on the couch.

I finished my knitting project over the weekend. I have a picture as promised.

It's not perfect put I'm proud of it. It's the first useful thing I've knitting. I'm going to try to knit a scarf, hat or socks next. I haven't decided what yet though.

Well that's all I got for now. See you folks tomorrow!

"I want..." Wednesdays and....Knitting!

So I'm combining posts again. For today's "I want" we are going with something that I've wanted for awhile. It's rather expensive so that's partly why it's been on the list so long. It's a classic item and will definitely stand the test of time. So....I want a Louis Vuitton handbag! In particular one of the two below. They are the same style one is just bigger than the other.

I don't think I will be able to decide which one until I can see them in person and side-by-side. The first pic is the Tivoli GM which measures 18.1" x 11" x 7.9". The second one is the Tivoli PM which measures 14.1" x 8.3" x 6.3". The GM also has adjustable straps. It's a tough decision. Which one would you go with?

So the other day I was talking about crafting. Well I've decided to take up knitting! In part, thanks to Liz ! She's been knitting like crazy since she took a knitting class. So I guess some of her knitting craziness has rubbed off on me. I haven't made too much yet. Just learning the basics right now. I started my first real project today. I'm going to knit a kerchief (you wear it on your head). Below is the pic of what the finished product should look like and then my progress so far.

I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes and try to post a finished product if it doesn't turn out to be a total disaster. I'm really enjoying knitting so far. I want to make some socks for my next project and then maybe a blanket.

Well that's all I've got for today. Back to dreaming about purses and knitting! :)
