Randomness

I've been slacking on this for a few days. Just hasn't been a whole lot going on. So I'm just going to hit the high points and throw some random stuff in there too. :)

A kid came in to the tattoo shop the other day. He had a tattoo on his back that he wanted to fix. So he pulled up his shirt to show Chris the tattoo that was on his upper back. Well when he did this I couldn't help but see his boxers hanging half way out. They had pickles wearing party hats all over them and the phrase "Party Pickle". They cracked me up so I thought I would share.

I was going to write a post about us going to eat last night and having some wine. Then I realized that I mention wine in almost all of my posts. I may need to change my blog to Wino: everyday, all day. Whatcha think?

Chris says to me the other morning, "Late last night when I was watching tv an infomercial came on for P90x. I think we should do that!" I laughed at first but the more I've given it thought it's not a terrible idea. I looked up some of the before and after videos on youtube and they are very impressive. So we are considering doing it. Pray for us, if that's your thing. If not call Santa and the Easter Bunny and see what they can do for us. ;)

Well I think I've blabbed enough for the day.

Wine and Friends

We've been planning for most of the week to go to a wine tasting with Jonathan and Josh on Saturday. Well Saturday rolled around and it was coming a monsoon! We said fuck it and went anyway!

Chris and I started the morning off right though. We went to the nail place and got our nails "did". He got a pedicure and a manicure. I got a pedicure and fill-in. He enjoyed his but he thought his nails could have been buffed more, haha. He likes them shiny! When I was getting my finger nails done I asked the guy how much it was to get a design. He said, "$5 for two" and I said, "I might do that next time." Well next thing I know he's putting a design on 2 of my nails. He said "I'll do it today and you can see if you like it for next time." So no charge. I thought that was nice of him. I would share a picture but I don't have on at the moment. Trust me, they are ghetto fabulous!

After nail time, we met Josh and Jonathan at Josh's house. I got to meet Josh's cat "Marci". That's what I call her because he gave her a boy name, Marcus. She's fixed so he thought she needed a boy name.

So we headed to Vizzini Farms Winery first. We picked there first because they serve a brunch. The rain was coming down like crazy the whole way there but we made it. We ate some tasty food and then started the wine tasting. They offer about 8 - 10 wines to taste. We got two of the wines we liked. I don't remember the names of them right now. There was lots of drinking that happened yesterday.

We finished up there and drove 20 minutes to Ozan Winery. Chris and I had been to both of these wineries before and we prefer Ozan. For $7 at Ozan you get a keepsake glass and get to taste about 15 wines. You can choose the more white set or more red set. Chris and I chose to go the white route because we like whites more. Josh and Jonathan vice a versa.

We got a little tipsy just from the tastings. Chris and I got a mixed case of wines and bought a bottle to all share on the patio. So we stayed there for a few hours drinking, talking and having a good time.

About half way home Chris and I got hungry so we stopped at Habaneros mexican grill. We've never been there before but it was pretty tasty! Chris got a huge margarita there too.

We got back to Josh's place, drank some more wine, and watched Spartacus episodes.

We had an awesome time! Josh and Jonathan are so fun to hang out with. We only know of a few friends who enjoy wine so it was good to add them to the list.

No hangover this morning = Post for you today!

We had good times last night. Spent the night drinking wine and watching Incubus DVDs in celebration of Incubus Day!

I've been meaning to do a post with some of our Wedding pictures because I love them so much. Then today i got a request from Rachel for wedding pictures. So today you get pictures!

I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do! Don't forget if you want to see it bigger just click it! This is only a tiny sampling of them. I think the photographer (Thomas Dorough) gave me over 500 pics to look through. One day soon when I'm not being lazy I have to decide what I want prints of and what I want in a wedding album.

Well until next time, Peace!

Just working...

Today hasn't been too eventful. I did a page in my "Wreck this Journal". I did the Stand Here page. It's not that impressive though because my flip flops weren't that dirty. Oh well...

The arm is healing up nicely. I'm hoping it will start peeling tomorrow. I'm using Mama Dixie's left hand tattoo balm for the first time. I'm liking it so far. The thing I like the most is it's not as greasy as A&D but it keeps your tattoo moisturized all day.

Chris is tattooing Robby today. He's coloring on his bio piece and it's coming along nicely.

I think there's going to be some DePalma's action later! Pasta + Wine + Me= Happy Camper!

Well that's all I've got for now. If there's enough wine consumed then be ready for tomorrow's installment. It will probably be way more exciting than this one. If there is a hangover there might not be one at all haha...

Fruit Time!!!

So yesterday was a fun day. We had been planning on starting my fruit sleeve on Thursday. Well things changed and we did the outline yesterday. I was super excited because I had been wanting it since Chris finished the drawing on Friday!

It took a while to get the fruits lined up in all the places that he wanted them. We got started around 4:00 and finished a few minutes after 9:00. I was actually thinking it was going to take longer than it did. So that was a pleasant surprise. It really wasn't too painful compared to other parts of my body that I've had tattooed. I would say the most painful part was the inner elbow crack. Ok pictures!

So that's what I did with my Monday :)

Good Weekend

Saturday was a crazy busy day. PBB practice started at 2pm and didn't stop haha. We got to the venue around 7 or so. We got setup and it was showtime before we knew it. I was really happy with how my 2 pieces turned out. I think the audience enjoyed them too. I'm glad everyone got the glove pasties for the MJ piece. Everyone performed wonderfully and the show was a definite success!

Today has been fun. Chris and I went into town for a late lunch. We didn't wake up til 1:00 pm! After lunch we got some Starbucks and headed to the park. We walked around, enjoyed the nice weather, and watched people playing with their animals. When we got back home we took Malakai (our cat) outside on his leash for awhile. He really enjoyed that because he doesn't get to do it very often. Now we are just watching tv. It's about bedtime for me though.

Night night :)

The Beginning

I've been tossing around the idea of starting a blog for weeks now. So today looks like the day it's going to happen. This isn't the first blog I've ever had but I hope it will be the best! I get kind of lazy with these things after a few months. So if you people like what you read you might have to harass me about it if I start slacking.

The title of this blog might change. Especially if we have some conversation over a few Margaritas. Haha. Tattoos and burlesque are definitely a huge part of my daily life but I know I can come up with something a little more clever, so bear with me.

Well I hope you've enjoyed the first post. They can only get better....I hope :)
